US midterms: Indian-American candidates and voters in focus

With the US midterm elections on November 3, Indian Americans are drawing attention across several races.

In Ohio, Indian-American Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign owes him $41.3 million, and rival Amy Acton has outraised him. In Arizona, Indian-American candidate Amish Shah faces a challenger described as President Donald Trump's golf partner in a swing seat. In Michigan, Indian Americans are being courted as Trump heads to Port Huron.

Voters of Indian origin are a small share of the US electorate but can matter in close races.
