Editorial Policy and Corrections

This page explains how BulletNews works, so you can judge our reporting for yourself.

Accuracy and sources

We aim to report facts that can be verified. We rely on official statements, documents, court records, public data and direct reporting. We try to confirm important claims with more than one source. We do not publish rumours as facts, and we say clearly when something is unconfirmed or an allegation.

Fairness

When a story makes an accusation against a person, party or organisation, we try to include their response. If we cannot reach them, we say so.

News and opinion are separate

News reports are written without taking sides. Opinion and editorials are labelled and may express the editor’s view. Where an editorial discusses a contested issue, we try to include the main opposing arguments.

Independence and advertising

Advertising does not influence what we report. We will mark sponsored or promotional content clearly if we ever publish any.

Use of technology

We use technology, including translation and writing-assistance tools, to help prepare and translate content. A human editor is responsible for everything we publish. Telugu versions are checked by our team before or shortly after publication, and we welcome corrections from readers.

Images

We use images we own, have licensed or have permission to use, and we do not publish graphic images of violence without a strong public-interest reason.

Sensitive subjects

We take special care when reporting on children, victims of crime, suicide, communal tension and health. We do not name victims of sexual offences, and we avoid content that could incite hatred or violence.

Corrections

We correct errors quickly and openly. When we correct a published story, we add a note at the bottom saying what changed and when. To report a mistake, email corrections@bulletnews.in with the article link and details. We aim to review each request within 7 days.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can write to our Grievance Officer using the details on the Contact page.
